HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

For Halloween I made my nieces and nephews these goody bags! I really miss them and I wanted to let them know that I love them and think about them even though we don't see eachother all the time.

Family Halloween Party!

Every year we get together with my mom's side of the family for a Halloween Party!

Here is everyone who showed up this year...

This is my Cousin Bree-N. She is the one who puts the party together every year and does a GREAT job too!

Here is one of the games we played... We were divided into 2 teams, and given 3 bags of "secret" items. We had 5 minutes to open the bags and decide a theme and how to dress ourselves in them. {TEAM 1} ALUMINUM FOIL, CONSTRUCTION PAPER, and RIBBON. We decided to become WARRIORS!


{TEAM 2} PURPLE PLASTIC TABLE CLOTHS, GREEN STREAMERS, and WHITE GARBAGE BAGS. They decided to become ONE EYED, ONE HORNED, FLYING PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS.


This is Chay and he was the One Eyed, One Horned guy! {Pretty Clever of them I thought!}

The next part of the game was a SCAVENGER HUNT. We had to run to the neighbors houses to find 3 things...

1. A PENCIL

2. Something with a PUMPKIN on it

3. Four large MARSHMALLOWS

Whatever team got back to the house with all of the items FIRST won Gift Certificates to Cold Stone Creamery!

And because Chris and I are such COMPETITIVE people our team WON!!! Woo Hoo!

All in all we had a really FUN night! It was really fun remenicing about old times with the cousins! We have a lot of good memories together! Untill next time...

Green Thumb?

I planted MUM Flowers the other day! I think they are beautiful, and the perfect fall colors! They sit right by my front door! The only weird thing is when I water them this really dark brown ooze comes out of the bottom of the pot? What is it? The other thing I'm not sure about is... How often do I water them? I know you can over-water flowers and you can obviously not give them enough water. I always kill them and for once I would like to keep them alive! If you have any suggestions please leave a comment! I would really appreciate it!

We have Grass!

I know this must seem silly to some people, but I am SUPER excited about it! We have lived in this house for almost a year now and it has never really felt like home. Now that we have planted grass it gives our house a totally different feeling! And now the dogs are able to go outside and not come in with dirt all over them! :)

Fall

Fall has finally arrived... It's about time!! This past week has been BEAUTIFUL weather!! If only it would last. Today it was back to 95 degrees. In a couple weeks it will be back to it's beautiful self. Fall has to be my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather. On Sunday we were able to plant winter grass! I can't wait for it to come up! I love the way baby grass looks! It's the perfect color of green! When it starts to pop up I will post some pictures. As for now please cross your fingers with me in hope that it WILL pop up! I'm not sure if I'm doing this 100% correctly. Let's hope I'm not waisting any time here! I got these pumpkins the other night. They looked a little bare just sitting there, so there went the ribbon! I have come to the conclusion that I LOVE ribbon! You can put it on ANYTHING and it will give it a completely different look! Viola`! Ribbon has to be one of the best things invented (creatively wise)!

BOO!

This is the first year that I have decorated for Halloween. It is actually a lot more fun than I thought!

Here is some YUMMY candy! The weird thing is that I don't eat any of it! (Maybe a few M&M's here and there!)

A couple of Sundays ago Marci and Darrian came over and we made these cute Haunted Gingerbread Houses! I think they turned out pretty cute!! We also made Sugar Cookies but I forgot to take a picture. They sure were good!!

Shaving Sam!

Every once in a while Chris will take the time to shave Sam. He looks so much better when we do this! Although it takes hours it is well worth it! I forgot to take "after" pictures, but that's ok!
